Come along to our major field day event for 2018. The day includes demonstrations of beekeeping (both native and honeybees) as well as honey sales and beekeeping gear vendors. We will even have locally produced honey mead to drink (to release your inner viking)!

A limited number of bee suits will be available on the day. If possible please bring your own, and wear long pants & closed shoes.
The Beekeepers Association of the ACT is are hosting an exciting and fun-filled field day at Jerrabomberra Wetlands training apiary and would like Canberra to come along and help celebrate. This is our major field day for the year, and is free to everyone. Last year we had over 500 people attending
There will be:
• A huge variety of stalls and activities for the whole family including ‘hands on’ demonstrations of beehive management, as well as specialist suppliers of beekeeping equipment.
• Demonstrations of honey harvesting techniques, and a chance to try some of the regions unique honey varieties.
• A selection of food and drink from around Canberra, showcasing the growing local food movement
• Bee-friendly plants for sale to turn your garden into its own pollinator paradise.
