Apicentric beekeeping, focussing mainly on Kenyan Top Bar and Warre hives

A new Special Interest Group has been formed to cater for members who are interested in, or may want to explore if natural beekeeping is for them.

We are an informal group mainly focusing on helping participants to establish and maintain healthy
colonies, knowledge sharing about all facets of natural beekeeping and most important of all, being good stewards.

The members of the group plan to participate in informal mentoring and support. The group intends to hold the occasional meetings at members apiaries to learn more from each other.

Future events

• Visit to and inspection of a Cathedral Top Bar hive
• Informal dinner meeting to be held at 7 pm on 10 December 2018 at Southern Cross Club, Jamison, Macquarie.
